CAESAREAN BIRTH CLASS
Feel calm, confident, and fully prepared for your caesarean birth
This class provides clear, evidence-based guidance on what to expect before, during, and after a caesarean birth. You’ll discover practical ways to prepare, understand what the experience involves, and learn tools to support a smoother recovery.

If you’ve been advised to have, or have chosen a caesarean birth, this class is designed to help you feel informed, confident, and supported at every step as you meet your baby.
You don’t need to attend this class if you’ve already booked or participated in our Positive Birth Class, as caesarean birth education is included. If you’re unsure about how you’d like to birth , we recommend booking the Positive Birth Class (all births discussed) or contacting us at [email protected] to discuss which class is best suited to you.
Taught by Lucy and Kristin, both highly experienced practising midwives and educators, this engaging session is delivered in person in both Manly and St Leonards. As practising midwives at The Mater Hospital, they bring years of hands-on experience, practical knowledge, and a warm, supportive teaching style to the class. They will guide you through a caesarean birth in digestible steps, helping you understand what to expect, how to feel calm, present and supported, and ways you can personalise your experience.
Your investment covers two people – you and your support partner attend together. Because birth is a team experience, your partner is always included.

It was very informative, Lucy had great knowledge of local birthing centres, and obviously a wealth of experience in birth. It was great for both me and my partner, and Lucy was a great speaker/presenter, it was very easy to listen to her talk. Really did make me look forward to birth with a positive outlook. Rachel HillTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve been to a few courses through my pregnancy and Birth & Beyond Education was amazing. The Fourth Trimester, Feeding and Caesarean class was exceptional, it was insightful, practical and genuinely a very judgement free space. My husband also really enjoyed it and found it targeted to ensure everyone was involved, from Mum, to Dad and baby. I’ve already recommended B&BE to friends all over Sydney. Taking her class 8 weeks before our baby arrived completely changed how I approached the birth experience. It gave me the tools to support my partner with confidence, calm, and clarity from understanding our birth preferences to being able to communicate effectively with midwives without second-guessing or asking unnecessary questions. Because of Lucy’s guidance, I knew what was happening at every stage and could truly be present and helpful during labour, not just physically, but emotionally and mentally too. If you're serious about being 100% there for your partner, this course isn’t just helpful, it's non-negotiable. I can’t recommend it enough. Kristin’s class is an absolute must for any new parent. The first five days of parenthood are a wild rollercoaster, but thanks to this class, we felt genuinely prepared. From understanding why our baby’s hands and feet were still a little blue (totally normal!), to knowing what to expect with breastfeeding, emotions, introducing formula, swaddling styles, and nappy changes , it covered everything. Yes, those early days are overwhelming, but having context and knowledge made it so much less anxiety-inducing. This class was a total game changer. I can’t recommend it enough!
