KRISTIN GOSLING | Bsc Hons Nursing, Grad dip Midwifery | Parenting Educator | REGISTERED MIDWIFE

Kristin is a Registered Nurse, Midwife and proud mother of three. She currently works on the Postnatal Ward at The Mater Hospital, as a clinical midwife, regularly caring for the couples she educates in her workshops.

Kristin is the eldest of three girls and growing up, her love for children and caring for others started with babysitting and nannying for families with babies and young children.

Kristin completed her Bachelor of Nursing degree at Australian Catholic University (ACU) and then went on to achieve a New Graduate position at Sydney’s Mater Private Hospital on the Lower North Shore. The following year, she completed her Post-Graduate Diploma in Midwifery through the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and the Mater Hospital.

Since working at the Mater Hospital, she has welcomed her own three babies into the world (all Mater babies!) and has gained a strong interest in educating and providing skills in the postpartum chapter and infant feeding stages.

Throughout her career of over 15 years as a Midwife, Kristin has worked in the Birthing Suite and the Postnatal Ward. She has also screened women for risk factors in pregnancy through antenatal midwife appointments and has been part of the Antenatal Education team, teaching parenting and caesarean classes to expectant parents.

Kristin is often asked by clients across Sydney to provide additional parenting and infant feeding support once discharged from hospital and she’s regularly a support person for friends and family during their births.

From her own experience as a mother and her work, Kristin has learnt that babies don’t come with an instruction manual and has a passion for teaching new parents all the tips and tricks to navigate through the early days and weeks of parenting and feeding.

You can book Kristin’s Fourth Trimester & Feeding Workshop on Thursday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays. She is also available for antenatal and postnatal home visits for nursery set ups, emotional support, as well as, parenting, settling and feeding assistance when you bring your newborn home.

Look out for Kristin on the Postnatal Ward if you have chosen The Mater Hospital to have your baby!
