Private Health Fund & Medicare Rebates

Depending on your health fund and level of cover, you may be eligible for private health fund rebates of up to $400 on our antenatal education classes.

Medicare rebates apply to midwifery appointments. There is an out-of-pocket payment for all appointments, and you will be provided with a detailed invoice to submit to Medicare for your rebate.

Most health funds recognise antenatal education and may cover:

  • Positive Birth Class

  • Caesarean Birth Class

  • Fourth Trimester Class

Coverage varies between funds, so please check directly with your provider.

  • Midwifery appointments: Rebates are through Medicare, not private health.

  • Private health funds generally do not cover individual midwifery appointments, but we’ll provide an itemised receipt for you to check with your provider.

  • Book and attend your class or appointment.

  • We’ll provide you with an itemised receipt.

  • Submit this to your health fund or Medicare (where applicable) for your rebate.

Even if your fund doesn’t cover antenatal education or appointments, you’ll still receive your receipt for tax or employer reimbursement (if applicable). And most importantly, you’ll walk away with evidence-based guidance, preparation, and support that families tell us is invaluable.
