On the 23rd of October we welcomed our beautiful daughter Josephine into the world.
As my wife is a Registered Midwife we skipped quite a few of the classes and programs many couples do. We did decide to in support of our wish to have a as natural birth as possible to do a workshop through Birth and Beyond Education.
The professional but warm approach from Lucy was amazing and she was able to come to our home to make the experience even more relaxed. Because it was in the comfort of our own home we felt extremely safe to share our feelings and some fears.
My wife didn’t need the education but it was good for her to not think as a Midwife for a moment but to think as a soon to be mum.
For myself it was the opportunity to ask question and have a conversation about my role and what support I could offer to my wife.
After the session we felt extremely empowered, aligned as a team and what we expected from each other.
My wife and I had a beautiful and positive birth story. I am convinced a big part of that was thanks to the preparation through Lucy’s Labour & birth Workshop.
I can’t recommend Lucy enough and truly believe she can add a positive element to everyone’s birth even when your wife is an expert!
